The T-shirt attracted a lot of attention in the local area. This culminated in a cover page article in the student campus newspaper, The Evergreen, and interest from one of the local news stations. Unfortunately, the latter group thought that the issue was a little risque for their viewers!
Codpiece International had its first booth at the Moscow Renaissance Fair, and for the first time canvassed the "Bring Back the Codpiece" campaign to the public. The T-shirts again caught the eye of many a passer-by, who were more than mildly amused by what a codpiece was.
In May 1994, the company moved to Beaverton, OR. The registration of the company in Oregon allowed for the adoption of a new name, Pegasus Printing. This has been necessary to encompass the rapidly diversifying nature of the company. Due to the production problems associated with contracting out the printing, mainly the dreaded 'minimum order', the company has purchased its own screen printing operation. The new machine will allow easy processing of new artwork and ideas into new designs and the ability to print onto more than just T-shirts. Watch this space for an exciting expansion of the Codpiece International line!
In July 1994, Jennifer and Richard tide the knot in Olympia, WA. Looks like we're in this for the long haul...Codpiece and all!. Unfortunately, Richard did not were the requisite piece of clothing at the ceremony (as one of you bright folk pointed out). The church has always frowned on the codpiece since its first appearance all those centuries ago, and today, even in these enlightened times, I still believe the vicar would not have approved. But the t-shirts did figure prominently at the reception!
